Mr. Arney prides himself on a unique ability to identify the issues, assess the risks to all the parties involved and quickly propose a reasonable solution. Suddenly your problem doesn’t seem so overwhelming. D. Todd Arney has practiced law in Kansas City since 1992. He is licensed in Kansas and Missouri as well as the Federal Courts. He initially joined the large, prestigious firm of Watson Ess Marshall and Enggas in downtown Kansas City, Missouri. Since 1992, Mr. Arney has represented businesses and individuals in a wide range of legal issues including:

D. Todd Arney received his law degree with honors from Washburn University in 1992 where he was the Managing Editor of the Washburn Law Review. He also earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 1996. Prior to his graduate studies, Mr. Arney earned a B.S. in Business Administration with a minor in Journalism from the University of Kansas. At KU, he was the President of the Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity.
Mr. Arney served as an adjunct Professor of Law at Washburn University for ten years. As an Eagle Scout, he assisted with his son’s Scout troop and he is currently involved in other community activities. Mr. Arney and his family attend Church of the Resurrection.
In addition to his law practice, Mr. Arney is the owner of Barrister Homes, a residential construction company. Mr. Arney is a licensed general contractor with substantial experience building and renovating beautiful homes in Johnson County. Mr. Arney resides in Leawood with his wife, Stacey, and four children.
Outside the office, Mr. Arney’s activities include woodworking, golf, water skiing, snow skiing, boating and watching his son play basketball and run track. He is an avid sports fan. Mr. Arney also really enjoys traveling, particularly in Europe.
